Post Abortion Support | LifeClinic Community Resources

Space for Healing

Often, both women and men alike feel as though they were not prepared for the negative emotional side effects of abortion. Abortion is a medical procedure, therefore, it’s often only spoken of in a medical way. LifeClinic is different. We recognize the emotional health risks of abortion, and understand how they affect you as a person. We offer post abortion support to those experiencing negative effects to support them in healing.

What are the potential emotional health risks of abortion?

Often there is an initial feeling of relief following an abortion. However, a wide range of emotional effects can occur anywhere from months to years following the procedure. These emotional health risks include mild to severe grief, anger, and shame. If these feelings are not addressed, they can progress to anxiety, depression, eating disorders, alcoholism, and more.

What is post abortion support?

Both women and men can experience negative feelings following an abortion. But, many people feel like they don’t have a safe space to talk about their abortion experiences without judgment. At LifeClinic, you will be heard and understood. The post-abortion support program provides opportunity for you to find the freedom and healing to move forward.

Who can participate?

If you have had an abortion or have been otherwise affected by abortion, you are invited to participate in LifeClinic’s post abortion support program. This program is free of charge and held in the strictest confidentiality. You deserve to find healing without worry or fear.

This multi-week class is offered in a small group format with a leader who has experienced emotional healing from an abortion. There is outside reading as well and books will be provided.

Abortion affects both men and women in different ways. LifeClinic will support you through your unique healing process. Contact us to learn when the next class meets.
