STD Testing & Education

Being informed about STIs and their risks can help you make decisions about your sexual health that will impact you for the rest of your life. LifeClinic offers free STI testing and treatment, as well as information on all the types of STIs.

Am I at risk?
If you have had sex with more than one partner, you are at risk for contracting an STI. You are also at risk if you have had sex with someone who has had multiple partners. STI’s may be contracted through oral, vaginal, or anal sex, as well as through mutual masturbation.

What should I do if I am at risk?
The Center for Disease Control (CDC) recommends all sexually active men and women get tested every year. You should also be tested anytime you have new or multiple sex partners. To minimize your risk of contracting STIs, you may choose to abstain from sex or remain in a long-term, single-partner relationship like marriage.

Getting Tested
LifeClinic tests for the two most common STIs: Gonorrhea and Chlamydia. These are treatable bacterial infections. If you test positive for either strain, we offer treatment and follow-up testing at no cost.

What can happen if an STI goes untreated?

If left untreated, an STI can cause serious long-term reproductive damage. Depending on the STI, you could be at increased risk for infertility, Pelvic Inflammatory Disease, cancer, miscarriage, and a shorter lifespan.

LifeClinic offers testing and treatment to both men and women. If you think you’re at risk for less common STIs, we can refer you to a clinic that offers additional testing. Schedule an appointment with LifeClinic to get your free STI testing today.

Our pregnancy tests are one of the most sensitive urine-based tests available, detecting concentrations of hCG as low as 20mIU/ml.

How Are Your Tests Administered?

The patient will collect a urine sample. Then, the medical staff will administer the test.

How Soon Will I Get My Test Results & Pregnancy Verification?

You will get your test results while you are at your appointment.

Can I Take A Copy Of My Verification With Me?

Yes, you may take a copy of that verification with you if you request it.

Ultrasound

Our Medical Center has a Registered Nurse who is trained in Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound.

Limited Obstetrical Ultrasound is used for the following 3 reasons:

  1. To find a pregnancy inside the uterus.

  2. To find a viable pregnancy (heartbeat).

  3. To find a gestational age by taking measurements.

We DO NOT provide a diagnosis of gender or abnormalities.

An ultrasound is an imaging procedure that uses high-frequency soundwaves to project a visual of your pregnancy onto a screen. It is a non-surgical procedure and it requires no recovery time after your appointment. Depending on how early in your pregnancy you receive an ultrasound, different types of ultrasounds may be necessary to get a clear image of the pregnancy. Many women are familiar with abdominal ultrasounds, with the ultrasound imaging tool placed over the lower stomach. If it is very early in your pregnancy, your sonographer will need to perform a transvaginal ultrasound to get a better image of the pregnancy.
